FAQs

When was Artisan Homecare founded?

Artisan Homecare was founded in 2008. We have been in business for many years and we continue to find joy in serving clients at home with companionship services and personal assistance.

What services are available from Artisan Homecare?

We offer non-medical care services such as Personal care and companionship.

What locations are covered in your service area?

We provide services in the following countries: Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Mercer, Middlesex, Morris, Passaic, Somerset, Union, Monmouth, Sussex, and Ocean countries.

Are your caregivers insured and bonded?

Yes. To ensure the safety and well being of our clients, we perform criminal history background checks, do thorough work history checks, and we are covered with general liability and workers’ compensation insurance.

Do I need to sign a contract with Artisan Home Care?

After you decide to use our service, you will sign a Service Agreement which will clearly state that you understand the care we will provide for you and your authorize us to provide you service. This, however, is not a permanent contract. If anytime you wish to discontinue any services, you are free to do that with no obligations.

Will I have a choice over who will be assigned to provide me with personal care at home?

Yes. While we ensure that all staff we deploy at thoroughly screened and background checked, you can still choose the caregiver(s) who will be assigned to care for you at home. We understand that your home is your private place and you have every right to set the rules on who will be welcomed to visit you there. Using our established selection system, we match the right caregiver to you and your family. If you are not satisfied, we will accommodate any requests you may have for a change in caregivers, as allowed by law, and which are in line with our strict quality of care guidelines.

Will the same caregiver be permanently assigned to me or my family member for multiple visits?

While it is a goal to establish a long-term care giving relationship with your loved one, if they receive care for many hours in a day or at different times of the day throughout the week, it may be necessary to schedule more than one caregiver in a given week. In addition, due to caregiver needs for time off, it is also our goal to have your loved one become comfortable with more than one person, so inevitable transitions are seamless.

Can you help with medications?

As required by law, Home Health Aides in NJ may only provide medication reminders.

What kind of payment method do you accept?

We accept most private insurances, Medicaid, Medicaid Waiver programs, Long Term Care, HMO’s, Workers Compensation, and Private Pay.
